Mitchell Chen is an artist based in Northern Utah.

As an airline pilot, Chen primarily works and captures scenes from his travels, resulting in a vast collection of digital landscape paintings. His work focuses on the hidden colors lurking in the shadows, reflections, and direct light, creating a vibrant harmony among the colors and values. The paintings are honored to remember the soul of each location.

Mitchell grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where he spent his younger years before moving to Utah with his family. Traveling with his family at a young age across the world ignited his interest in aviation. Ever since then, he aspired to pursue an aviation career. While art was always something he took pride in growing up, it was during high school that he discovered painting, which became a new medium he now calls home.
